Accountant by day. Goblin King by accident. A kingdom wasn't part of his five-year plan.

Ethan Hayes buys a mysterious talisman online and ends up in Skrulgara, an underground goblin kingdom, after crash-landing on its ruler. Fatally. Goblin law says he's the new king. His character sheet says Level 1. His subjects' morale sits at negative one thousand.

Vornna, a goblin shaman and kingdom strategist, offers Ethan the healing magic and political instincts he desperately needs. Grisla, a battle-axe-wielding warrior with a competitive streak and a devastating grin, guards what Ethan is only beginning to build. Both want a place in his harem, and their bonds grant far more than loyalty.

But the dead king's sons want their throne back. Rognak has the muscle to start a rebellion. Skarn has the cunning to finish one. With an unknown army massing beyond the gates, Skrulgara can't survive a war on two fronts.
